Proof of Origin. Payment that follows it.
Every mineral has an origin. $VEX is the utility token behind the Vexillum Network: a verified record for every lot today, and, as the network grows, payment for the minerals themselves.
Minerals travel through many hands. The record rarely travels with them.
Modern industry depends on gold, lithium, chrome and more. The systems that move them from a deposit to a buyer were built before anyone expected to prove origin on demand.
Ownership
One project can involve licence holders, joint-venture partners, royalty holders, financiers, operators and buyers. Who is entitled to what sits in documents held by different parties in different countries.
Data
Assays, production logs, custody records and shipping papers live in separate systems and formats. A buyer who wants to check a parcel against its paperwork usually has to trust an intermediary.
Provenance
Refiners, regulators and manufacturers increasingly need to show where a material came from. Paper certificates can be lost, altered or disputed, and the cost of not proving origin keeps rising.
A shared, tamper-evident record doesn't make mining easier. It makes claims checkable.
How Proof of Origin works
Each handler signs what they did. Every record carries the fingerprint of the one before it. The whole batch is condensed into a single fingerprint and written to a public ledger. These are real SHA-256 hashes, computed in your browser.
Record
Operators, laboratories, custodians and carriers sign events with their own keys. Each key belongs to an identified organisation.
Link
Every event includes the hash of the event before it. Change one record and every later hash changes with it.
Anchor
Batches of events become one Merkle root, written to a public ledger with a timestamp. Documents and personal data stay off-chain.
Verify
Anyone can recompute the hashes and check the anchor. Verifying a record is free and needs no token.
The ledger doesn't make a claim true. It makes it permanent, time-stamped and attributable.
Five parts, one network
The Vexillum Network is the digital layer around Vexillum's mineral platform. Each part is useful alone. Together they turn a token into infrastructure.
$VEX
The utility token. It pays for premium verification and data, unlocks access tiers, rewards verified activity and lets the community vote on ecosystem grants.
Planned$VEX Passport
A provenance record for each lot or consignment, from mine to buyer. Signed events, linked hashes, anchored fingerprints and encrypted evidence.
In design$VEX Vault
A digital certificate for participating physical gold and silver, linked to the custodian's records, with delivery or redemption where legally and operationally possible.
Planned$VEX Data
Aggregated, non-confidential mineral intelligence: project maps, commodity and jurisdiction data, milestones and provenance statistics.
Planned$VEX Marketplace
Commerce and services around the network. Any tokenised project interest would be a separate, regulated instrument issued through licensed partners.
PlannedBuilt to be checked
Only hashes and permissions go on-chain. Documents, commercial data and personal data stay off-chain and encrypted. The design is chain-agnostic and open to verification by anyone.
Open verification, permissioned writing
Anyone can verify a record. Only identified, accountable organisations can create one.
Independent attestation
Weights, assays and custody statements come from parties other than the operator. Seals, serial numbers, sensors and mass-balance checks make false statements harder and easier to spot.
Minimal on-chain footprint
One short Merkle root can commit to thousands of events. Personal data never touches a public ledger.
Conservative contracts
Small, single-purpose contracts, multi-signature control with timelocks, two independent audits before production use and a bug bounty.
Compliance by design
Regulated features such as certificates and redemption sit behind identity checks, separate from the open token.
| Planned contract | What it does |
|---|---|
| $VEX token | Fixed supply. No minting after genesis, no transfer tax, no power to freeze or seize ordinary balances. |
| Passport registry | Stores Merkle roots and timestamps. Append-only. Only registered gateway keys can publish. |
| Attester registry | Maps organisations to keys, roles and scopes, and records revocations. |
| Usage router | Splits $VEX paid for services between treasury, service provider and, optionally, permanent removal from supply. |
| Rewards distributor | Pays $VEX for verified activity per epoch through Merkle claims, with a cap. Never for passive holding. |
| Grants governor | Holders vote on ecosystem grants and integrations. Cannot change supply or touch company matters. |
The whitepaper covers the data model, hashing, anchoring, evidence handling, the oracle problem, security threat model and chain decision framework in full. Nothing described here is live today.
What $VEX is used for
$VEX earns its place by being needed for something real. None of these uses depends on the price of the token.
Provenance services
Pay for premium verification, unlock the full document set for a batch, and issue certificates that a counterparty can rely on.
Access to the Explorer and API
The public Explorer is open to everyone. Deeper tiers add downloads, historical series, bulk access and the programmatic API. Sign in by proving control of a wallet, with no passwords to store.
Rewards for verified activity
Earn $VEX for doing something useful: contributing attestations, verified supply-chain information or data, using platform services. Rewards follow activity, never passive holding.
Benefits around physical metal
Optional ecosystem benefits can attach to a purchase of participating physical gold or silver. The certificate rests on the physical purchase and the custodian's records. $VEX is not backed by gold.
Payments
Over time, participating merchants may accept $VEX for bullion, memberships, data, provenance and logistics services. This is a roadmap item, introduced gradually.
Mineral data
Premium, aggregated, non-confidential datasets built from recorded activity. More recorded activity makes the data more valuable, which links real use to real demand.
Community grants
Holders vote on ecosystem grants, education, integrations and community initiatives. Not on how Vexillum raises capital, which assets it acquires or how it runs operations.
Verifying a Passport is always free. You never need to hold $VEX to check a record.
A plain token, on purpose
A plain token is easier to audit, easier to explain and harder to misuse. $VEX is designed as a utility token. It is not equity in Vexillum, and it is not a financial product.
$VEX is
- A utility token for access, payment, rewards and community grants
- Fixed in supply, with no minting after genesis
- Separate from every contract that handles rewards and governance
- Independent of the company's equity and any share offering
$VEX is not
- A share in Vexillum, or a claim on its assets, profits or dividends
- Backed one-to-one by gold or any other commodity
- An instrument that represents ownership of a mineral project
- A tokenised project interest, which would be a separate regulated instrument
$VEX will be
The working currency of the mineral economy: one token for the services around the network today, and, as integrations and acceptance grow, a payment token for the commodities themselves.
The unit for network services
Pay for provenance verification and certificates, Data and API access, Explorer tiers and Marketplace services with one token, so a participant never needs a different payment method for each part of the network.
A payment token for commodities
The aim is for participating merchants and counterparties to accept $VEX for physical gold and silver from the retail application, and over time for the other commodity categories on the platform: platinum group metals, chrome, lithium, silica, lime and critical minerals.
Settlement that carries its proof
A payment can point to the Passport of the lot it pays for. Release of funds can be tied to recorded events, for example payment on verified delivery and acceptance, so the money and the evidence travel together.
A common currency across borders
Producers, refiners, custodians, carriers and buyers in different jurisdictions can pay one another in a single neutral unit, with invoices quoted in familiar currencies and settled in $VEX at the moment of payment.
The reward for verified work
Laboratories, custodians and contributors who attest to real events, and people who contribute verified information, are rewarded in $VEX, so the token flows to the people who make the records trustworthy.
A voice in community grants
Holders will be able to vote on ecosystem grants, integrations and community initiatives, within a scope limited to the network and never the company's own affairs.
Payments are introduced gradually, as merchants, custodians and partners are onboarded and as legal, tax and compliance checks are completed in each jurisdiction. No dates are promised.
Stage 1: $VEX Genesis
A simple, liquid utility token with plain documentation about what it is and is not. The chain and venue are still under evaluation.
Stage 2: $VEX Network
Passport, Explorer, Data, Vault, Marketplace and an API, with rewards and payments introduced gradually as real activity appears.
Supply, allocation, vesting schedules and contract addresses will be published only after legal review and independent audits. There is no sale, and nothing on this page is an offer.
Each phase opens only after a gate is passed
The roadmap follows what has to be true before the next step, not the calendar. Dates will follow once counsel, auditors and partners confirm timelines.
Foundations
Legal structuring, final token design, contract audits, clear disclosures.
$VEX Genesis
A simple, liquid utility token. Public verifier and Explorer begin, alongside a Passport pilot.
$VEX Network
Passport, Data, Vault, Marketplace and API. Rewards, payments and community grants.
Tokenisation infrastructure
Real-world-asset integrations and, only where legally structured, tokenised interests as separate regulated instruments.
Where the minerals are
Vexillum's project pipeline spans seven jurisdictions across Africa, Australia and Central Asia. Regions are shown, not individual projects.
Physical gold and silver also feature on the retail side of the platform, where the Gold Reserve Program and a customer application are being developed.
Built by Vexillum Strategic Minerals Corp.
Vexillum is building a platform to acquire, develop, finance and commercialise mineral assets through acquisitions, joint ventures, royalties and other economic interests, working with specialist operators rather than building every capability in-house. The network gives that platform a way to prove what it does.
$VEX and the company are separate. $VEX gives no claim on Vexillum or any mineral asset. This website does not relate to any offering of the company's securities.
Questions, answered plainly
What is $VEX?
$VEX is a planned utility token for the Vexillum Network. It is used to access and pay for services around mineral provenance records, data and certificates, and to earn rewards for verified activity.
Is $VEX equity in Vexillum?
No. $VEX is not a share in Vexillum Strategic Minerals Corp., gives no claim on its assets, profits or dividends, and is not tied to the company's share price or any share offering.
Is $VEX backed by gold?
No. $VEX is not backed by gold or any other commodity. $VEX Vault is designed to give participating physical gold and silver a digital certificate, and that certificate rests on the physical purchase and the custodian's records, not on the token.
Can I buy $VEX today?
No public sale is announced. $VEX is in design and legal review. Treat any offer to sell $VEX as unverified unless it comes from this website or the project's official channels.
What does a Passport actually prove?
It proves who recorded each event, when they recorded it, and that nothing has changed since. It cannot prove the physical facts on its own. That comes from independent attesters, seals, sensors and audits, which is why the design combines them.
Do I need $VEX to check a Passport?
No. Reading and verifying a record is free and open to everyone.
Will $VEX pay staking rewards or dividends?
No. Rewards are for verified activity, such as contributing attestations or data, not for holding. There is no guaranteed yield, transfer tax, revenue share or dividend.
Which blockchain will $VEX use?
That is not decided. The first launch is planned on a high-liquidity network, with Solana under consideration. The registry is designed to be chain-agnostic, and anchors can be mirrored on more than one ledger.
What is live today?
Nothing described on this site is live. Passport, Vault, Data and Marketplace are in design or planned. The whitepaper lists the status of every component.
